One of the most important things to ask a resume writer before hiring them is if they have a college degree and a resume certification. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in La Jolla.  I am also a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW). With over 15 years of Sales and Marketing experience in the corporate world, I gained invaluable insight from interviewing candidates for positions at the companies I worked for. Combined with my relationships with Executive Recruiters, Staffing Agencies, and Human Resource Managers, I have a pulse on the current employment climate, what they look for and how to tailor your resume to convince employers to call you for an interview.

One of the resumes I wrote was submitted to the U.S. Congress by a client who testified before congress on behalf of veterans.  In addition to my professional resume writing, I was the local book editor for The Lila Guide, a monthly contributor to Scripps Health’s non-profit organization – The Parent Connection, and was included in a book by Julie Watson Smith, a Leadership and Lifestyle Mentor. As one of the few CPRWs in San Diego, I was chosen as a subject matter expert for a resume article in the January 2018 issue of San Diego Magazine.
